We Value Righteousness, Truth, Justice and Peace.
We value righteousness, truth and justice in both personal living and in every area of human social and political life.
We value every aspiration and all active endeavours to establish and uphold these things, believing there can be no true peace in human society without them.
We value peace at every level of human relationships. We value peacemakers and all endeavours towards establishing peace with justice.
We value the proclamation of the standards of truth, righteousness and justice that God requires of us. And we value every attempt to practically establish these values in all the affairs and dealings of human beings with one another and with the created world.
We hold these values because we believe in the Righteous, Holy God of Peace:
· God is a moral God. He, Himself, is entirely holy, righteous and just, and He both loves and requires these qualities in human life. As all human beings are made in the image of this moral God, we are by nature ourselves ‘moral beings’, capable of knowing good and evil, and created and called to live moral lives. Accordingly, we are required to live by and establish in society the values and standards that God has so clearly revealed in the Bible. As moral beings, we are personally accountable to our holy Creator God in all these respects, and will finally be judged by Him on the basis of them.
· God is also a God of peace, both loving and desiring peace. Peace and Justice go hand in hand, the coveted blessing of peace amongst human beings being impossible where unrighteousness and injustice exist. So Christians pursue both justice and peace as twin objectives.
· Christians are conscious of God’s call upon them to seek to make His just, loving
and ethical standards known and to call people to embrace them and to establish them
in human relationships and in creation-
