It all started with the words of a wife... “you men need to go away together!”

So, back in 2001, the men from one fellowship group ‘reluctantly’ went to Park Place for a short weekend.

This went so well, we did it again... by the time we were organising a third day together, other men wanted to be part of it!

And now as from May 2004 we are officially the Cosham Christian Viewpoint for Men Group. (See the CVM website for more details of this organisation)

Our recent events have been a a day in Frittleworth, a quiz night, prayer breakfast, a return to Park Place and most recently a Skittles Evening. There have been over 90 men from the church involved in these events.

We are doing these activities and events for three main reasons

  1. We see the importance of men getting together with other men for real support and encouragement through the development of friendships

  2. We see the benefit of men getting together for specific teaching for men - either in its style or content.

  3. We see the potential of men reaching out to other men with the gospel.

Recent Event: Breakfast!

Alan Thompson (pictured above) came to speak on the issues facing Christians in business.

It was an excellent morning appreciated by the 70 men and women who came.
