Church Family News
Next Sunday we hold our Church Anniversary Services at which our preacher for both services will be Rev Jim Graham of Gold Hill Baptist Church. For many years Jim has been a speaker at conventions all over the UK and in other parts of the world. It was with Jim that Michael began his ministry at Gold Hill and Seer Green Baptist churches in 1970. Do make a special point of joining us for both services.
The morning service on May 25th will be a baptismal service at which Chris Tutte will make confession of his faith. If anyone is thinking of being baptised they should speak to Michael as soon as possible.
Today at 3.00pm we are holding our bi-
especially planned for those either new to church or those who find attendance at morning or evening services in some way difficult. Tea will be served afterwards.
Our sympathy to Elizabeth upon the death of her 93 year old mother in a care home in Fareham. Our thoughts and prayers for all the family.
Your prayers are asked for:
Elizabeth and Edward, Rebekka and Oliver at this time of bereavement.
Michael, at home, still weak and needing support after his surgery. For right arrangements to be put in place to help him.
Arthur, who returned home well over a week ago after successful surgery – and is able to get out and about a bit.
Andy, for whom the sudden opportunity for a kidney transplant arose and which was successfully undertaken in QA (G5 ward) last weekend. For the new kidney to be accepted by Andy’s body, for a good recovery and for the family to cope practically and financially while he is recovering. He may be home this weekend.
For Judith, as the doctors diagnose and decide on treatment of her medical condition
-
Jas (and Barbara): continued prayer for uplifted spirits as he endures pain and disability in walking.
Sybs (and Jack): Sybs has been rather unwell recently. And on venturing out to the shops suffered the trauma of the theft of her handbag with all its vital contents.
Remember too all our children, young people and students who will be taking exams in the coming weeks.
There is a newsletter from Susie Woodall on the Mission board in the corridor. Please continue to pray for her as her time on Sumba draws to a close.
