We Value Creation:

We value creation in its entirety.

We value the created world, animate and inanimate

We value all human life as a sacred gift and trust and hold all human beings to be of intrinsic equal value and worth.

We value the dignity and worth of each individual human life from the moment of its inception to final breath.

We value the Creator as the One from whom we have received our very life and every blessing.  And we value the worship of Him as both our primary duty and greatest joy.

We value prayer as that vital link between the Creator and the lives He has created that is so essential to fulfilled human living.

 

We hold these values because we believe in the God who creates:

· God is the Creator who made the world for His delight and His glory.  He created it good, free from violence, cruelty, deception, fear, discord, exploitation, injustice.  He created men and women of one stock, all made bearing His own image and so all equal before Him and each other in personal value and dignity.

· To human beings He entrusted dominion over the earth he had made. Accordingly, the earth is neither a ‘deity’ to be revered, nor a mere ‘commodity’ to be selfishly exploited or consumed but an entrustment from God; and our dominion should be exercised as by those responsible to God, mirroring His creation-care.

· Christians not only value creation, they value the Creator whom they worship and obey. Human life was never intended to be lived in independence from Him and is distorted and impoverished if we so live it.

· Worship and prayer are a priority, providing that vital link between Creator and creature without which fulfilled human living is impossible. Only in this way can people enjoy their creation-gifts, and find their creation-purpose.
