What is Alpha?

A  Anyone interested in finding out more about the Christian faith. People of all ages and backgrounds are welcome.
L   Learning & laughter. It is possible to learn about the Christian faith and have fun at the same time

P   People coming together over a meal, getting to know one another and learning together                      b

H   Helping one another. Meeting in small groups gives a greater chance of discussing relevant issues raised by the talks
A   Ask anything. Alpha is a place where no question is regarded as too simple or too hostile.

Who is it for?

   * Those wanting to investigate the Christian faith
   * New Christians
   * Those who feel they never really got going as Christians
   * Newcomers to the church
   * Those who would like to brush up on the basics of their faith.

What’s involved?

The Alpha course runs weekly on Wednesday evenings beginning at 7pm with a meal followed by a talk. There is then the opportunity to discuss issues raised by the talk. We aim to finish by 9.45pm

What will it cost?

There is no charge for Alpha, although some people do make a small donation towards the cost of their meal

When & Where?

Alpha will take place from Jan 25th 2012, with an Introductory Supper held the week before (18th Jan) at Cosham Baptist Church, Havant Road, Cosham.
